hmmm sports seem to be the all the rage right now. Whether it be from the internet, from news channels or from local news. There will always be a topic or section dedicated to sports. " A local team wins the tournament","a popular player gets injured." These are some of the topics that news and other media love covering due to their high target audience. Simply put, you cant meet anyone who isnt interested in anything sports related. In January 15, 1892, James Naismith published his rules for the game of "Basket Ball" that he invented:[1] The original game played under these rules was quite different from the one played today as there was no dribbling, dunking, three-pointers, or shot clock, and goal tending was legal.

The ball may be thrown in any direction with one or both hands.

The ball may be batted in any direction with one or both hands.

A player cannot run with the ball. The player must throw it from the spot on which he catches it, allowance to be made for a man who catches the ball when running at a good speed if he tries to stop.

The ball must be held in or between the hands; the arms or body must not be used for holding it.

No shouldering, holding, striking, pushing, or tripping in any way of an opponent. The first infringement of this rule by any person shall count as a foul; the second shall disqualify him until the next basket is made or, if there was evident intent to injure the person, for the whole of the game. No substitution shall be allowed.

A foul is striking at the ball with the fist, violation of rules three and four and such described in rule five.

If either side makes three consecutive fouls, it shall count a goal for the opponents (consecutive means without the opponents in the mean time making a foul).

A goal shall be made when the ball is thrown or batted from the grounds into the basket and stays there (without falling), providing those defending the goal do not touch or disturb the goal. If the ball rests on the edges, and the opponent moves the basket, it shall count as a goal.

Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympics since 1964. A few of the most common faults include:causing the ball to touch the ground or floor outside the opponents' court or without first passing over the net,catching and throwing the ball double hit,two consecutive contacts with the ball made by the same player,four consecutive contacts with the ball made by the same team,net foul,touching the net during play;foot fault: the foot crosses over the boundary line when serving..  


       In my opinion, playing volleyball needs a full responsibility of your actions. and it is important that all the players should ENJOY!

So... i'm not a sporty type of person and i barely go out. But still there is a type of sport that me myself follow religiously and that is E-sports, Specifically, Dota 2. Dota 2 is an E-sport that has been around since the early 2000's and has spawned countless of active players. I wont go into much history because its a tad bit boring, but ill let you in on something that might interest you.              Basketball is a team sport. Two teams of five players each try to score by shooting a ball through a hoop elevated 10 feet above the ground. The game is played on a rectangular floor called the court, and there is a hoop at each end. The court is divided into two main sections by the mid-court line. If the offensive team puts the ball into play behind the mid-court line, it has ten seconds to get the ball over the mid-court line. If it doesn't, then the defense gets the ball. Once the offensive team gets the ball over the mid-court line, it can no longer have possession of the ball in the area in back of the line. If it does, the defense is awarded the ball.
              Over the years, Basketball has evolved from a classic to a more modernized sport. For example, things changed from perimeter two-point shooting to long distance 3-point shooting; from simple layups to well maneuvered alley hoops and artistic dunking. Last but not least, apparel: It started from above the knee shorts to longer below the knee shorts.
Basketball continues to drive its audience off their seats. No wonder it has already landed its name among the most famous sports ever.

           Basketball is so popular that almost every country in Asia, Europe and USA play the sport. Almost every individual knows how to play the sport. I have seen people playing indoors and outdoors so many times, but it is mostly played outdoors along the streets. Special sports gear, except for the ball and basket, is not even a requirement for a person to play the game.

The sport of basketball is known as a fun past time for any person young or old. Basketball is a great way of exercise and a great way to have fun with friends and possibly make some new ones. I love to watch and play the game, basketball is a very entertaining sport and can be played by anyone. Basketball has many negative and positive things about it based on my opinion. Basketball is known as a good pastime in many people’s eyes but can also be seen as a passion for many others.
